Cleveland's Hope Sidelined for Season

Matt Hope has to call it a season. The Cleveland Foresters reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the New York Imperials and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Hope was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and stated that he would not be able to play for 8 months.

For the year, Hope has saved 0 games while posting an ERA of 3.48 and 22 strikeouts in 41.1 innings. His totals also include a 0-2 record in 16 relief appearances.
