Lee Pitches 2-0 Shutout for Boston
Tuesday, September 24th , 1963
Joe Lee bent a little, but he didn't break against the Detroit Dynamos. The Boston Minutemen pitcher hurled a 5-hit, 2-0 shutout in a fine performance, surrendering 4 walks and tallying 2 strikeouts.

"Joe is good at getting out of jams," Minutemen manager Bill Freeman told reporters after the game. "He's almost more effective when he gets guys on base or gets behind in the count, because he uses your aggressiveness against you."

Lee has posted a 3-3 record for the year with a 4.34 ERA. Teams are hitting .251 against him and he has rung up 34 strikeouts in 64.1 innings.
