The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. Los Angeles last appeared in the postseason in 1952. This is their 11th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 60 times in their 72-year history.
