Toronto Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs
Tuesday, September 3rd , 1963
The Toronto Wolves have struggled throughout this season and now they have officially been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

"Obviously we knew things had not been going to smoothly, but this still stinks," said starting pitcher Bill Medley

Toronto last appeared in the postseason in 1940. This is their 23rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 67 times in their 72-year history. Toronto has won the World Championship Series 4 times in their history.
