| Miller Keeps Hit Streak Alive Thursday, August 22nd , 1963 Buddy Miller ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Minuteman Stadium, when he collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Philadelphia Keystones dropped the game, 5-4, to the Boston Minutemen.
"Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Miller said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Buddy Miller singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 9th.
This season, Miller is batting .301 with 152 hits, 20 home runs, 78 RBIs, .365 OBP and has scored 80 runs. | | |
