25-year-old Bill Jenkins sent shock waves through Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Continental Association Player of the Week Award.

A newcomer to the league, Jenkins made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .526 average, 10 hits in 19 at-bats, 4 home runs and 9 RBI.

Where the San Francisco Sailors catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Jenkins certainly made his mark last week.

Jenkins is hitting .217 this season with 5 home runs, 33 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has 70 hits in 322 at-bats.
