| Pittsburgh Swaps Alexander to Dallas for Miller Monday, July 1st , 1963 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Miners announced today the acquisition of 31-year old RHP Clarence Miller and $22,900 in cash from the Dallas Wranglers in exchange for 18-year old minor league SS Frank Alexander and 24-year old minor league RHP Charlie Boyd. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Miners, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."
