 | Comets-Cannons Deal: Mondi for Reed Thursday, October 30th , 1975 Sometimes a change of scenery can be a beneficial to a baseball player. That is the hope in Houston and Cincinnati as the teams came to an agreement today which sends 24-year old minor league RHP Leo Mondi and 22-year old minor league 3B Eddie Poinsot to the Cannons and 35-year old RHP Max Reed to the Comets. "Only time will tell if this is the right move for everyone," stated the Cincinnati GM. In his 265-game career Reed has been credited with 41 wins, 69 losses and 12 saves. His ERA stands at 4.36, and he has fired third strikes past 654 batters in 990.2 innings while giving up 352 walks. |   |
