Nick Parker of the Dallas Wranglers proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Continental Association Whitney Award.

Parker hit for a .345 average while collecting 193 hits, 34 doubles, 1 triple, 29 home runs, 110 RBIs and scoring 110 times.

He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 24. Fred Tollefson of the Seattle Kings finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Billy West of the Cincinnati Cannons finished third.
