It's Jay Hunt, this year's Federal Association Allen Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Hunt compiled a 13-10 record in 33 starts, tallied 144 strikeouts in 228.2 innings and recorded a 2.40 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .235 batting average against him. He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 24.
