 | Gayle and Nelson Dealt Sunday, October 26th , 1975 The Comets and Cannons announced a deal that was completed today. Houston sent 21-year old minor league C Harry Gayle to Cincinnati for 36-year old RHP Bob Nelson. Both teams appear happy with the outcome of the trade. The general managers told the Baseball News Network they felt the swap was beneficial for all parties involved. In his career, Nelson has compiled a 89-89 mark in 524 games with 1148 strikeouts and 509 walks in 1597 innings. He has been credited with 29 saves and has a 4.15 ERA. |   |
