Strader Earns FA Rookie Honor

Today the Federal Association announced that Detroit first baseman Lou Strader is the winner of the 1975 Kellogg Award.

He finished the regular season with a .329 batting average, 25 doubles, 1 triple and 19 home runs. Strader also had 68 RBIs and scored 78 times.

He received 24 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Bill Barber of the Minneapolis Millers finished second in voting, while Larry Hurlbutt of the Los Angeles Suns finished third.
