 | Eddy Selected FA's #1 Rookie Wednesday, October 1st , 1975 It was a dream month for Don Eddy of the Washington Eagles. September was pure bliss for this newcomer and it was capped off today when the Federal Association awarded him the Rookie of the Month. He etched a 1-0 record last month in 0 starts, fanned 10 and walked 12 in 21.2 innings. He compiled a 1.66 ERA and held other clubs to a .231 average. Looking at his pitching stats this season, Eddy has made 36 relief appearances, pitched 150.2 innings and fashioned a 6-12 record with a 4.60 ERA. He has recorded 14 saves, struck out 91 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .272 when he is on the hill. |   |
