 | Los Angeles Loses Bobby Garrison, Will Miss Season Wednesday, September 24th , 1975 The Los Angeles Stars were dealt a severe blow when Bobby Garrison was hurt running the bases recently in a game against the San Francisco Sailors. After the game, the team trainer reported Garrison might have to spend a lengthy time on the injured list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 33-year-old first baseman out for the rest of the season with a fractured rib. They indicated it would take Garrison at least 5 weeks to heal. This year, Garrison has socked 160 hits in 566 at-bats for a .283 average with 23 home runs. He is getting on base at a .374 pace and his totals also include 96 RBIs and 79 runs scored. |   |
