Billy West Hurt, Out for Year Tuesday, September 23rd , 1975 Billy West will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Cincinnati left fielder could miss the remainder of the year. West was injured while running the bases in the Cannons-Arrows clash at Tice Memorial Stadium II recently. Doctors said he has a strained posterior cruciate ligament and would be out a minimum of 3 weeks.
This year, West is batting .306 with 15 home runs.
