Until now, that is -- today, the Chiefs were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. The Chiefs have made the playoffs 8 times in their 100 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1970. In the last 10 seasons, the Chiefs have missed the playoffs 7 times.
