Los Angeles Stars Mathematically Out of Playoffs
Sunday, September 7th , 1975
Not even the most diehard Los Angeles Stars fan thought the team had much chance at the playoffs this year. But now even the faintest hopes have been put to rest, as the Stars were mathematically eliminated from the postseason hunt today.

The Stars have made the playoffs 20 times in their 84 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1972. In the last 10 seasons, the Stars have made the playoffs 8 times. Los Angeles has won the World Championship Series 14 times in their history.
