"We thought we had a better chance than this," said starting pitcher Jim Teal. "It's a big disappointment."
The Sailors have missed the playoffs 73 times in their 84 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 10th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1965. San Francisco last won the World Championship Series in 1951. | | |
