 | Seattle's Lowery Chosen August's Best in CA Monday, September 1st , 1975 The Pitcher of the Month Award in August has been selected and the Continental Association honor went to Seattle hurler, Moe Lowery. For his excellent performance he has been named the league's top pitcher. During the month, Lowery was superb with a 2.68 ERA and 5 wins and 1 loss. In 47 innings he struck out 34 and gave up 43 hits and 18 walks. This season, Lowery has a 18-8 mark in 28 starts with a 2.84 ERA.
