 | Chicago's Butts to Miss Season Wednesday, August 27th , 1975 John Butts has to call it a season. The Chicago Chiefs second baseman sustained a season-ending injury against the Baltimore Clippers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Butts was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn calf muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 5-6 months. Butts is currently hitting at a .279 pace with 5 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 95 games and scored 55 times. |   |
