 | Cincinnati Halts Cohen's Hitting Steak Friday, August 22nd , 1975 All good things must come to an end -- and so it was today for Chuck Cohen as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end. He went hitless in 4 at-bats at the hands of the Cincinnati Cannons. It wasn't all bad for the 27-year-old first baseman and the Kansas City Mavericks however, as they defeated Cincinnati, 2-1, at Tice Memorial Stadium II. When asked about his hitting streak, a smiling Cohen laughed and said, "I guess my luck ran out today." At the moment, Cohen is batting .286 with 3 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has played in 127 games and scored 64 times. |   |
