At the age of 24, the St. Louis second baseman has been named the winner of the Federal Association Whitney Award.
He had a .386 batting average and a .477 on-base percentage this year. In 133 games he piled up 187 hits, 28 doubles, 5 triples, 46 home runs, 120 RBIs and 128 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 20. Tom Lorang of the Washington Eagles finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Danny Davis of the St. Louis Pioneers finished third.
