 | July's Best Newcomer Named by CA Friday, August 1st , 1975 Most everybody across the league agree that Bill Bartlett is one fine rookie pitcher. And today the Continental Association confirmed it by announcing he is this month's recipient of the Rookie of the Month award. In July the 22-year-old Chicago starter proved his worth by racking up 4 wins and 2 losses with a 1.66 ERA as he struck out 22 in 48.2 innings and held opponents to a .243 batting average. For the season, Bartlett has compiled a 7-4 record with a 2.14 ERA. |   |
