"We were close, but not close enough," Detroit manager Verlin Alexander said. The Dynamos have missed the playoffs 58 times in their 71 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1958. In the last 10 seasons, the Dynamos have made the playoffs 6 times.
