 | Big Month Brings in CA Top Rookie Trophy Monday, October 1st , 1962 Youngster Ed Savage emerged as the latest Continental Association Rookie of the Month today. The young man from Toronto deserved the honor, batting .375 with 7 home runs and 23 RBI. Is the month of September a harbinger of things to come or just a fluke? We'll find out someday, but for now, we'll just let Savage enjoy the limelight. Savage is hitting .400 this season with 8 home runs, 29 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 46 hits in 115 at-bats. |   |
