The Cougars still have games to play in their disappointing 1962 campaign, but the numbers say they won't mean much -- the Cougars were today mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. The Cougars have made the playoffs 10 times in their 71 years as a Federally Aligned Baseball Leagues franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 21st in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1941. Chicago has won the World Championship Series 5 times in their history. |   |
