 | Saints Bennett Lost for Year Monday, July 7th , 1975 Montreal starting pitcher Hal Bennett could miss the remainder of the season because of a torn posterior cruciate ligament. He exited yesterday's Dallas game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Bennett would be out 8-9 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." On the season, Bennett has 11 wins and 4 losses and a 1.96 ERA. |   |
