However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 30-year-old starting pitcher suffered shoulder inflammation throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Downing would miss 4-5 months of the season. On the year, Downing has compiled a 6-7 mark with a 6.16 ERA. |   |
