St. Louis Loses Red Kline for Season Saturday, June 21st , 1975 The season is finished for Red Kline of the St. Louis Pioneers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Pioneers reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Chicago Chiefs. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal.
So far this year, Kline has nailed down no saves. His won-lost record is 0-5 with a 5.45 ERA.
