| Ensey Sensational, 5-for-5 Wednesday, June 11th , 1975 Buddy Ensey was sizzling at the plate. In a game played at Thompson Field, the Detroit right fielder blistered the Baltimore Clippers for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a good 11-6 victory.
"Ensey was too tough to get out," Clippers skipper Hank Luckenbaugh said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
Buddy Ensey singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Johnny Hugot in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th and doubled in the 7th.
