Millers Rally Late to Clip Baltimore
The Minneapolis Millers did just enough to secure a victory over the Baltimore Clippers, 7-6, in 10 innings at Patapsco Field. Nobody did more than catcher Julio Castaneda. With the win, Minneapolis upped its record to 21-17.

Bill Pierce drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate for Minneapolis. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the tenth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Ted Ferguson. It was his 6th walk of the season.

"We earned that one," said Castaneda.
