| Arrows Knock Off Foresters at Lakefront Park | The Milwaukee Arrows polished off the Cleveland Foresters by the score of 8-4. The largest share of the credit belonged to right fielder Jim Stogner. Stogner was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Arrows. The triumph puts Milwaukee at 24-13 for the season.
With Milwaukee leading 4-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Stogner hit a cutter from Bob Scott for a grand slam home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Arrows ahead, 8-1.
"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Stogner told a local reporter after the game.
