| Slumping Chiefs Lose 10th Straight | Wilshire Park played host to some dramatic action.
With Adolph Young leading the charge, the Los Angeles Suns defeated the Chicago Chiefs, 4-3. Young was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Suns. The win was credited to Ron Clark in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Ed Rowley took the loss.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Young hit a cutter from Ed Rowley for a run-scoring double. The Suns, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Young said.
The Chiefs, now 11-27, have lost 10 straight. | |
