Quinton Vincent, who finished 3rd in the FA in RBI with 96 in 1972, starred for St. Louis. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Vincent had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-1 curveball from Bunny Mullins, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Pioneers a 3-1 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Vincent.
