| Foresters Pick Up 3-2 Road Win Over Cincinnati | Cleveland Foresters starter Juan Solorzano pitched his team past the Cincinnati Cannons, 3-2. Solorzano got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 1 run. Charlie Sawyer earned the save for Cleveland.
Cleveland used a clutch at-bat from Carlos Jaramillo to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Foresters ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Juan pitched like a champ," said Cleveland manager Ray Parsons.
Cleveland is now 5-2.
