Williams goes 3-for-3 to Light Kings Fuse
The Kansas City Kings trumped the New York Imperials, 15-13, at Prairie Park. Kansas City first baseman Hank Williams was terrific. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Gene Bailey went 6.1 innings for Kansas City to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 8 runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 4. His record improves to 8-0. Henry Henderson collected his 3rd save.

The Imperials had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Kings going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 36-year old catcher Bob Burge came to the plate. Burge hit a 3-run home run on a first pitch curveball from New York hurler Johnny Britton. It was Burge's 2nd home run of the year.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Burge.

The Kings bumped their record to 26-18 with this win.
