Clippers Suffer 6-4 Setback
The Houston Comets picked up a win at Patapsco Field, knocking off the Baltimore Clippers, 6-4. On the mound for Houston was right-hander Johnny Blackburn. He played a key role in the triumph. The win belonged to Bob Young in relief. His record improves to 3-4. Jerry Walton took the loss for Baltimore. Houston is now 21-18. Baltimore is 20-13.

Houston used a timely hit from Don Jones to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Comets ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Jones.
