In a remarkable performance, Seattle Kings starter Swede Hawkins beat the Toronto Wolves, 3-0, in an impressive 2-hit shutout.

"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."

The Kings hurler finished with 9 strikeouts and 4 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.

"It was a rough one for my guys," Toronto manager Carl Evans said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."

This season, Hawkins shows a 5-2 record in 8 games, 49.1 innings, 28 strikeouts, and a 4.38 ERA.
