The home crowd had a good time watching the St. Louis Pioneers and Minneapolis Millers get after it.

The Minneapolis Millers went home winners at Hennepin County Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Hub Huffman. Huffman stifled the St. Louis Pioneers, enabling Minneapolis to grab the 6-1 win. With the win, Minneapolis lifts its record to 4-4.

Had Frank Green delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Green popped out. The score remained 3-1, Minneapolis, and the Millers were out of the jam.
