Minutemen Zip Past Clippers, 10-2
Boston pitcher Hank Springer had a large part in his team subduing the Baltimore Clippers, 10-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Springer picked up the win for Boston, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. With the win, Boston pushed its record to 22-14.

Frank Kirouac had a big 2-run home run for the Minutemen in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Boston leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Johnny Hugot, who is tied for 6th in the FA with a 1.17 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Minutemen on top, 4-1.

"I'm proud to wear a Boston jersey," Kirouac told the Boston Today. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
