The New York Gothams picked up a win at Fitzpatrick Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Miners, 4-2, in 10 innings. On the mound for New York was left-hander Red Blanchard. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. The Gothams now have a record of 42-43 with the win over Pittsburgh.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 25-year old third baseman Frank Arnold. Arnold had a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Gothams ahead, 3-2. For the game, Arnold had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"Exciting game to play in," said Blanchard. "Getting the win makes it even better."
