In a crucial game, the Houston Bulls put on their best show, beating the Oakland Grays by a final score of 8-4 today. Ed Greenwood went 5 for 5 with a double and 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Houston and Oakland are now tied at 1 wins apiece in the best-of-7 affair.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when shortstop Hal Landrum, who finished 3rd in the GWL in runs with 84 in 1947, hit a double. The Bulls went on to win.
