Raucous Whitney Park Crowd Propels Chiefs to 7-1 Victory; Series Tied at 3
The Chicago Chiefs and the Cleveland Foresters will take the World Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the Chiefs beat the Foresters 7-1 at Whitney Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Chicago right-hander Charlie Bingham had a big role in the win. He threw 9.0 innings of 6-hit ball.

Bingham, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, was dealing all game. He kept Cleveland hitters off-balance, while giving the Chiefs 9 quality innings. Bingham threw 114 pitches, allowing 6 hits and striking out 2.

"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Bingham.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Whitney Park in Chicago.
