| Cannons Get Better of Imperials, 2-0 | Cincinnati pitcher Ace Barrell had a large part in his team beating the New York Imperials, 2-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Barrell, now 6-2, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 1, and allowing no runs. John Walker finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Bill Brown, who is tied for 2nd in the CA in doubles with 11, had a direct impact on the outcome. Brown contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the third inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-0.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Barrell.
