Cincinnati Downs Kansas City, 6-4 | The Kansas City Kings got a superb performance from left fielder Charlie Rogers, but the Cincinnati Cannons still won the game, 6-4. Rogers went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. John Walker picked up the win, lifting his record to 4-2 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 3 in 7 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Paul Williams, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save.
Cincinnati used the hitting of Art McKinney to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Cannons on top, 3-2. For the game, McKinney had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said McKinney.
