Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Pioneers
The Pioneers earned a hard-fought, 3-2 win in 10 innings at Pioneer Field III. To do so required withstanding a fine effort from New York pitcher Joe Nelson. Nelson went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. St. Louis has now won 4 in a row.

The Pioneers got a clutch hit from left fielder Danny Davis. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pioneers.

"The game of baseball will test you," said Babe Johnson, the St. Louis skipper. "This one tested us."
