| Frank Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits | It was high-fives all around for Bob Frank at Pawtucket Grounds.
He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Denver Bruins. Frank smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 4-3 win.
"Bob was hitting everything," said Devils manager Russ Owens. "It really was a special game for him."
In the opposing dugout, Bruins manager Ben Tamura told BNN beat writers that Frank "ambushed" the club.
"Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Frank oversleeps next time."
Bob Frank flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, struck out in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
Frank has a .309 average and a .391 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 25 hits, 1 home run and driven in 10 runs. | |
