| Sailors Get Past Seattle for 3-2 Win | The San Francisco Sailors did just enough to sneak past the Seattle Kings, 3-2, at Golden Gate Stadium. San Francisco pitcher Elmer Peters, in particular, had a standout performance. The Sailors go to 77-85, putting them 5th in the Continental Association West.
Pete Gibson, who is tied for 4th in the CA in triples with 10, helped out the San Francisco cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring triple. For the game, the right fielder was 3-4 with a triple and 2 singles.
"It was a real good effort by Elmer," said San Francisco manager Bob Harris. "I loved the way he bore down."
