The Detroit Dynamos took on the Los Angeles Suns at Wilshire Park.

The Detroit Dynamos pinned a convincing loss on the Los Angeles Suns, 9-3, at Wilshire Park. Lou Strader was a main factor in the win. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Detroit. Detroit pitcher Jack Williams earned the win, hiking his record to 12-10. Jim Place suffered the loss.

Detroit used the hitting of Gil Jones to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dynamos on top, 2-0. For the game, Jones had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Jones told the Detroit News.

With the win, the Dynamos hiked their record to 86-75.
