| Saints Edged by Arrows, 3-0 | Montreal wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Tommy Jackson, falling to the Milwaukee Arrows, 3-0. Jackson threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The first-place Arrows go to 89-71.
Paul Burkley played the role of hero for Milwaukee. In the bottom of the tenth, he launched a 3-run home run off Bill McCarty to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
