Wolves Beat Visiting Imperials, 6-4
The Toronto Wolves handed the New York Imperials a 6-4 defeat at Dominion Stadium. Third Baseman Joe Henke starred for Toronto. He was 2 for 3 with a home run. He scored 2 runs. Stan Terry picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-12. He struck out 7 in 7 innings. Dick Miller was credited with the save, his 17th in 23 tries.

Toronto third baseman Heinie Pearce contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 117th hit of the season and put the Wolves ahead, 3-0.

Toronto manager Carl Evans was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.

By defeating New York, the 5th-place Wolves improved to 74-86.
