| Franklin Hits Two Dingers, Kings Win, 7-4 | The Seattle Kings downed the San Francisco Sailors, 7-4, at Golden Gate Stadium. Jesse Franklin led the way, going 3-for-4 for Seattle. Billy Collins collected his 40th save. Seattle goes to 107-53. The win puts them 26½ games up in their division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Curt Day? The Seattle second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kings on top, 5-4. For the game, Day had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
