Anderson Hits 2 home runs in Mavericks Win
Getting offensive support from Dick Anderson, the Kansas City Mavericks topped the Chicago Cougars, 4-2. Anderson belted 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Mavericks. Kansas City reliever Van Taylor picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Tom Andress took the loss. Jack Turner earned the save for Kansas City, his 2nd.

Anderson had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Tom Andress, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Mavericks a 4-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Anderson.

"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Anderson.

The Mavericks raised their record to 5-3.
