| Osaka Fall Again, 5-2 | Kinboshi Kites starter Akahito Takizawa was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Osaka Sailors, 5-2. Takizawa went the distance for Kinboshi. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. Osaka is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
Kinboshi used a well-timed hit by Kosaburo Nakagawa to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Kites ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Takizawa. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
